It has been a full decade since the day that the galaxy first learned of the oncoming invasion. When the Yuuzhan Vong entered the galaxy intent on conquest, they did not encounter the unified military government envisioned by Palpatine in the late days of his reign. They met a galaxy fractured, petty, factionized, and ripe for the taking. The myriad technologies, weapons, and standing fleets of the warring fiefdoms stood impotent before an enemy that defamed decadence and abhored the mechanical. The galaxy fell like a string of dominoes without a single unifying voice to organize effective resistance. The long march to the Core worlds greatly taxed the Vong war machine, but it slowly ground the navies of the various worlds to dust as it rolled forward undaunted.

     A handful of months ago, something changed the dynamic. For reasons unknown but to themselves, the Vong slowly began to withdraw their forces from the Core and the Mid-Rim. Rumors of a world that was there and then not there abounded, but could never be confirmed. They now sit, apparently content, on the Outer Rim, near Belkadan and it's strange new sister planet that had not previously occupied the system.

     The rest of the galaxy has begun to look around and pick up the pieces. It is a time of mistrust and isolationism, with individual worlds disdaining any attempt to bring them under new banners after the way the previous conglomerates had traded them like pawns in a chess game during the Vong campaign. Nothing remains of the previous political order. Loyalties were strained, broken, became fluid, and evaporated in the heat of near extinction. It is an age of individuals crawling out from under the pall of war, reluctant to trust and attempting to reclaim part of some former identity.

Sudden Death
And all things became quiet as SW:TOR slowly took one player after the other until the GE Galaxy came to an end...

A Great Disturbance in the Force!
Sorry I haven't been around. We lost 4 people lately, three quit, one fired. I have had to cover a lot of hours so I haven't been online. The last couple weeks I've been having some health issues too. Anyway, hoping to get some time freed up now that they've hired on some new hands . I miss ya'll and hope you are all doing well going into the holiday season!

It used to be in the old days that RP increased over the holidays as we all got more time off from high school...now with work/families/responsibilities, I think the inverse is true. At any rate, I think if we can all just kinda post as time allows or think of some cool over arcing storylines we can stir things up and have some fun.
